The Department of Physics has UG (General and Honours) courses under the affiliation of the University of Calcutta. The courses are running under the CBCS curriculum. The department has developed a good laboratory infrastructure for the benefit of the undergraduate. Our department has a modern computer laboratory equipped with 19 computers which develop keen interest among the students of Physics to conduct computer practical efficiently. The faculty of the department encourage the students to take part in the competitive examinations and also encouraged the students to choose higher studies to be established in future. Two of teachers are actively involved in research and are publishing quality research papers in many reputed scientific journals. Besides traditional classroom teaching, faculties of the department are regularly using ICT based teaching methods which makes the teaching-learning process more interactive and attractive among the students. Moreover, besides regular classroom lectures, department also follow the Google ClassRoom(GCR) platform for the Hons. students. Many of our students have achieved success in the field of teaching profession and the other fields as well to serve the society.
